1. The service

MBoxConvert ("the service") is a web tool that opens mbox email archives (Gmail Takeout, Thunderbird, and similar exports) directly in your browser: you can browse, search and read messages, download attachments, export metadata as CSV, and export messages as a merged PDF. The file itself never leaves your device — all parsing and PDF generation happen locally in your browser.

2. Accuracy disclaimer — you must verify the output

Real-world mbox files vary (legacy encodings, malformed boundaries, non-standard dates). The parser is best-effort: a message may render incompletely, dates may fall back to raw header text, and PDF exports of non-Latin text are degraded (marked in the document). You are responsible for reviewing the output against your original archive before relying on it — especially for legal, compliance, accounting, or archival purposes. We are not liable for decisions or filings based on exported output.

3. No legal or professional advice

The service is a file-format utility. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, forensic, accounting, or other professional advice. An exported PDF is a convenience copy, not a certified record.

4. License terms

Viewing, search, attachments and CSV export are free. A paid license ($9.99, one-time) grants one user a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to unlimited PDF exports, forever — it does not renew and there is nothing to cancel. You may not share, resell, or redistribute license keys. Abuse of a key (e.g. public posting) may result in deactivation without refund.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the service only for mailboxes you are authorized to possess, and for lawful purposes. You agree not to attempt to disrupt the service or misrepresent it.

6. Intellectual property

The service, its design, and its code are our property. Your mailbox and everything in it remain entirely yours. "Gmail" and "Google Takeout" are trademarks of Google LLC; "Thunderbird" is a trademark of MZLA Technologies; this independent tool is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by either.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (in whole or in part) at any time; since the paid license is lifetime, if we discontinue the service we will refund purchases made in the 12 months before discontinuation.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $9.99, whichever is greater). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data.

9. Refunds

If a paid license does not work for your mbox files, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Because the viewer is free to test with your actual files before buying, refunds outside this window are at our discretion.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
